If you know me, you know I love coaching women on how to get more out of their lives, be it their personal lives or professional lives. I get true joy in helping others reach for – and grab – their goals, and I feel honored to be given the opportunity to help.
So, when a friend in my mastermind group reached out for help in her business, my ears perked up. You see, she is an online business owner and had been having trouble converting her consults into sales. Consults take time and energy, and when they don’t convert into paying customers, we can tend to get a bit frustrated, as was my friend.
Turns out, she needed some help in the sales area, and I knew I could provide that for her. As a former top-performing pharmaceutical sales rep, I think I know a thing or two about selling. At the same time, as an online business owner, I understand the world in which she lives and the daily struggles and challenges that we all face.
Helping my friend ended up helping myself as well.
Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Well, I do and who knew that offering to help my friend would, in turn, end up helping me with my own business? You see, I have been busting my tush with my own online business, helping women to get more out of their lives. But when I helped my friend with her selling technique, I found my true calling. I found my niche.
I realized I needed to narrow my focus and, and by doing so, I would be able to help a lot of people who are in the same boat as my friend.
It makes sense. I come from a sales background, and I know how to sell. But I also understand that many people feel totally uncomfortable “selling.” But Sugar, if you are in business, you must be selling in order to survive. You know that, right?
Believe it or not, you already know how to sell- it’s called Authentic Selling™
Sales is simply communicating in an effective way to get your desired outcome. And I’m willing to bet that you sell every day, whether you know it or not.
For instance, if you are a mom, you sell to get your kids to clean up their rooms. If you are a wife, you sell to get your hubby to help with the dishes. If you are an online business owner, you sell when you talk about your brand, product and service.
Subconsciously you sell every day.
Transitioning into Sales Coaching
I get it, though. For many, sales is icky, pushy, slimy. But it doesn’t have to be. Sales is simply effective communication, and I want to help you find your authentic sales voice.
And so I am changing the focus of SOUL FOOD just a bit, so I can teach you how to communicate your brand of brilliance without feeling icky. I am hoping the free tips I share with you here will enable you to feel comfortable with your sales process, convert more consults into sales, and dare I say, have fun selling!!
