Call-out Culture & What’s Worth Fighting For

“An American Experiment” is what they called the founding of this country in Hamilton – An American Musical.

The parallels between starting a business and country are similar in some ways.

One of the things I’ve learned from the musical and the book Hamilton is that “call out culture” has been a part of our country since it’s beginning.

As a matter of fact, that is what led to such writings as the Federalist Papers and eventually Alexander Hamilton’s death.

While I’m not a fan of “call out culture”, there are things worth speaking up and fighting for.

  • “Rising to the occasion of a new nation.” was worth that fight
  • Eradicating some of the worst evil to have ever lived during WWII was worth that fight
  • Marching in Selma to create steps to equality was worth that fight

The work and fight for freedom is not done.  It was not done when our founding fathers died and it’s still not done hundreds of years later, but it’s worth the fight.

Your dreams are worth fighting for.

As we celebrate Independence Day 2020, I want you to know, I am thankful for you and your dream, insert name.

Your work matters.

This holiday I invite you to join my family for an epic celebration.
